    About This Episode

In this episode of Bumperpodcast, host Natty Bumpercar returns after weather-related delays to share his relief about having heat and power restored. He humorously rambles about the bizarre weather pattern that brought snow right after a hurricane, making the episode late. Natty playfully experiments with different voices while discussing Einstein's E=mc² and reflects on the simple pleasures he missed during the power outage, like taking showers and having food in his fridge. The episode takes a whimsical turn as he contemplates what a snowman might smell like and whether snowmen would enjoy cotton candy.

    Bumperpodcast #151 – Super-stormed out

Headquarters and all of the lands around Headquarters were attacked by a vicious storm this week and we are just now getting to a place where we have power and heat and a chance to record this ridiculousness.

We really hope that you were not touched by the tumult of Super-storm Sandy – as – she was particularly unpleasant.

Were you in the storm? Let us know by sending an email to bumperpodcast@nattybumpercar.com – because – we want to bond with you.

    That storm was a bear.

    About This Episode

In this episode of Bumperpodcast, host Natty Bumpercar recounts his harrowing experience surviving a major storm that knocked out power at Bumpercar headquarters for nearly a week. Natty describes the chaos of flying shutters, broken windows, mysterious crashes in the night, and exploding transformers that lit up the sky like fireworks. After frantically checking his vehicles in the dark by tapping each window, he and his wife endured three days without power before finally evacuating north to safety. This exhausted but relieved episode gives listeners a firsthand account of weathering a serious storm and the confusion that comes with it.

    Memorable Quotes

“The shutter flew off the house and then flew back into the house and crash smash bang clang cling glass everywhere broken glass everywhere.”

    — Natty Bumpercar

“I ran around each car and I would just tap each window tap tap tap tap as I was running in circles around the car to make sure that the windows were intact.”

    — Natty Bumpercar

“It sounds like there's trains going by your house and the explosions was the craziest part—those were the transformers, not like the big hollywood production movies.”

    About This Episode

In episode 108 of Bumperpodcast, host Natty Bumpercar records from an emergency bunker after losing power at headquarters. An unexpected October snowstorm caused chaos when snow fell on trees that still had their leaves, resulting in widespread damage from fallen trees and downed power lines. Natty humorously describes spending a night at headquarters listening to trees crack and fall, being unable to drive anywhere due to debris, and now recording the episode on a coffee can. Despite the challenging circumstances, Natty delivers this short update episode about the natural disaster while hoping headquarters won't smell funny by the time power is restored.
