    Bumperpodcast 75 – Weekend Fun!

Since the website is more than moderately broken, we decided to treat you with a special early in the week edition of the Bumperpodcast!

We even have a new weekend reporter – and – maybe Robot shows up as well … on today’s Bumperpodcast!

    About This Episode

In this episode of Bumperpodcast, Natty Bumpercar launches a new Monday morning format, but things immediately go off the rails. The website is broken and Snowflake is malfunctioning, but that doesn't stop Natty from introducing his new weekend reporter, Aloysious J. Pig. When both Pig and Robot start talking over each other in the cramped studio, chaos ensues. Pig waves around a contract while Natty desperately tries to maintain control by turning off microphones. The episode captures the hilariously chaotic energy of too many personalities in one small space, with tensions rising over who's really on whose team and who deserves to be heard.

    Memorable Quotes

    — Aloysious J. Pig

Bumperpodcast 74 – Yes indeedy do

What are we? A gang? A crew? A possee? A bunch of chickens? I think that we need to figure it out … stat!
We also talk a little about how chickens dress.
I think that the heat has melted our brain on today’s Bumperpodcast!

    About This Episode

In episode 74 of Bumperpodcast, host Natty Bumpercar tackles the important question of what to call the podcast's listeners. From "bumper podcast gang" to "bums" to mysterious "blah blah blah blahs," Natty explores naming options while discussing secret handshakes and listener merchandise. The episode takes an unexpected turn when Natty reveals that Google Analytics shows a surprising number of chickens listening to the show across the globe, from Slovakia to Uzbekistan. This leads to a philosophical discussion about whether chickens can wear t-shirts and pants, leaving listeners with plenty to ponder about poultry fashion choices.

    Memorable Quotes

“On Google Analytics it lets you know like who's listening and I was looking at it the other day and it even has an icon for chickens.”

    — Natty Bumpercar

    About This Episode

In this episode of Bumperpodcast, host Natty Bumpercar introduces a brand new intern at Bumperpodcast headquarters. The episode follows their first day together, which involves sending out an email campaign that took two and a half hours to complete and was opened by exactly eight people. The intern also photographed items in the basement, added four people to the mailing list, and addressed letters for sticker requests. Much of the episode centers on the challenge of coming up with the perfect nickname for the intern, with options including "Buffy" (her existing nickname from friends) and Natty's suggestion of "Bamboo." The casual, improvisational conversation captures the behind-the-scenes reality of running a podcast.

    Memorable Quotes

“We had an octagon of people who opened up the email.”

    — Natty Bumpercar

“I was gonna call you bamboo which is a weird nickname but it's a b name… it feels like it has an island feel to it.”

Bumperpodcast 71 – Birds and Time Travel!

We do a little time traveling on this episode of the Bumperpodcast! Then we get a bit riled over the possibility that birds are squaking and talking about our business. Bunch of pot stirrers – those birds …

    About This Episode

In Bumperpodcast episode 71, Natty Bumpercar contemplates the nature of time, podcasting, and whether listeners exist in the future. His philosophical musings quickly spiral into a hilarious rant about birds and their potential gossip habits. Natty worries about birds spreading his secrets and getting involved in his business, while simultaneously respecting their privacy when they ruffle their feathers in puddles and dirt. The episode showcases Natty's stream-of-consciousness comedy style as he invents bird drama involving characters like Wilma Bird and Sheila Bird, ultimately admitting he makes more sense when Robot is around to keep him grounded.

    Memorable Quotes

“Are you in the future? How's your world? Is it different from this one? Like is the sky still blue or is it nighttime maybe?”

    — Natty Bumpercar
