    About This Episode

In episode 201 of Bumperpodcast, host Natty Bumpercar wakes up alone in the studio to discover that two weeks have mysteriously passed since episode 200. While he was away searching for Turkey during the Thanksgiving episodes, it appears that Pig, Robot, and Doodle Poodle took over and recorded episodes without him. Now the studio is a complete mess, everyone has vanished, and Natty must figure out what happened and where all his co-hosts went. This chaotic episode finds Natty reflecting on missed opportunities to revamp the show and dealing with the aftermath of whatever mayhem occurred in his absence.

Natty Bumpercar: hello bumper podcast this is number 201 and we are in a new world a new age a new time a new everything i know you're wondering bumper car you left us two weeks ago you it was a cliffhanger you know pig was there robot was there doodle poodle was there uh the turkey was there for where doodle poodle when I don't know where robot when I don't know where anybody went all I know is I woke up in the studio mind you and you know I looked at the the calendar and it's it's circled because what we do that's how we know that today to do the bumper podcast is we circle the day today's a red marker there's different color codes I don't really know what they all stand for there's one that's blue there's one that's green there's one that's red that's today and then there's just like a black one and an orange and I've there's only one I've only seen well two oranges on the whole the year of calendar so I don't I don't today's red it's Wednesday it's a day we do the bumper podcast I just woke up I'm excited to be here I don't know where anyone else went and I don't know what's going on I know it's episode 201 which to me is mon monumental monster monstrous monument stress monument stress is what today is that's a word of the day you know and I'm excited because my initial plan was just to recap remember I went away because I was gonna find turkey we're gonna do the big Thanksgiving episode and it was like 197 but then I came in and it was up so 200 my big plan was to make you know an event for episode 200 and to schedule things and have people in and then have an all-new direction for episode 201 and moving forward. You know, like every 100 episodes, let's switch the show up a little bit, bumper car. And that didn't happen, not even a little bit. What happened, in fact, was from what I can gather, and this might not be true, I don't want to besmirch their names, but I think that Pig, Robot, and Doodle Poodle came in while I was gone to find Turkey and just started randomly doing episodes all by themselves. If I were to guess, I would probably guess that Pig was trying to make it his own show with his own name and get rid of me entirely. But that's okay, because that's what he does, and I recognize that about him and I accept it about him. But, you know, then I came in. It's episode 200, which, you know, I'm glad I came in. I'm glad I didn't miss that. But then, and I didn't realize that until the very end of the show. And then I wake up now, two weeks later, and it's episode 201, and everyone's gone, and the studio's a mess, by the way. It is something, I'm going to, something terrible happened here. I'm just saying, I mean, like, we've been off the rails before, but I feel like right now we're not even in the train. We're not even in the train. We're not even in the train car. We're not even in, like, a caboose. Or, uh, we're not even in a coal car. We're not, we're nowhere. Like, we're just, we're having trouble. So, what that means is that I need to find where everyone is. Uh, pig doodle poodle and the other one, a robot. And I need to, uh, I need to establish some things. I need to figure some things out. And, you know, uh, my goal is to do that off mic. To not have to make you guys listen to me set all this stuff up. But, you know what? I think we're all in this together. We're all a big team. You, uh, bumper podcast cateers, me, Natty Bumper Car, I think that's what makes a bumper podcast work. And what's, what makes it, the world go round, the world of the bumper podcast go round, is that we all dig in, we put on our boots, and we get, we go, we get into the muck, and we figure things out together as a team. What do you think of that? You don't, you don't wanna, why would you say no so quickly? That was so quick. Well, that's fine. Then I'll do it myself. I'll do it all by myself, and it's gonna be awesome!

    About This Episode

In this milestone 200th episode of the Bumperpodcast, chaos erupts as Natty Bumpercar returns from his annual Thanksgiving tradition of finding Turkey. Doodle Poodle, Aloysious J. Pig, and Robot attempt to convince Bumpercar they're recording episode 197, not the big 200th, leading to increasingly suspicious behavior and nervous deflections. As the characters struggle to maintain their cover story about a normal Thanksgiving episode, the truth threatens to unravel. The episode captures the improvisational comedy style of the show with characters talking over each other, cracking under pressure, and ultimately fleeing when Bumpercar discovers the truth about what episode they're actually recording.

    Memorable Quotes

“I just wanted you to know that I'm just a dog who likes to draw, and I don't know anything about episode numbers, or anything, I don't know nothing about nothing.”

    — Doodle Poodle

“You're cracking under pressure. Not that there's any need for pressure, there's no pressure here, no pressure at all.”

Doodle Poodle: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, are you ready for the 200th episode of the Bumper Podcast?

Aloysious J. Pig: Hey guys, hey guys, hey, doodle doodle, hey, what's going on? Hey Bumper Car, what's going on now? Hey Bumper Car, how's it going? Play it off guys, play it off. What are you talking about? Okay, hey, what are you doing? It's great to see you. Welcome back to the show. I mean, welcome to the show, not welcome back. No one know you, God, no one know you, missing.

Natty Bumpercar: Hey, are you okay? You're acting kind of crazy right now. What are you guys doing? Are you just getting everything ready? We're going to do, I think it's episode 197. The big 197 episode right now, right? The big 197.

Robot: That's what we're doing right now.

Doodle Poodle: To 197. To 197. Hey, doodle doodle. That's what we're doing. Yeah, 196. Pig, make it fitter, make it better, pig, make it fix it, pig. Doodle doodle, you. Bumper Car came back. Yeah.

Natty Bumpercar: There he is. Hey, you guys are all acting really weird right now. I don't know what's happening, but I went out for a couple weeks. I apologize, guys, everybody, Bumper Podcast-cateers, but I was out. I was, you know what time of year it is. Yeah. Here it is. It's Thanksgiving, and so every year, what we like to do is we like to go and find our friend, Turkey. Oh, no. Yeah. Not this guy. It's Turkey, yeah.

Aloysious J. Pig: Oh, Turkey. Oh, it's great to see you again, Turkey. I can't believe you're back again this year. How many years is this now that we've been seeing you? Every year, it seems like for my entire life. Oh, wow. Every year. So that explains everything, everybody. That explains everything. That explains what Bumper Car went. Yeah.

Robot: Yeah, that explains everything. Yeah, robot. That explains the whole story. You know, nothing weird. No. Nothing strange. Nothing weird going on here at all. Oh, okay. Bumper Car.

Natty Bumpercar: Wow. So let's, I guess we should probably, I mean, start recording.

Unknown: I mean, we should, do you guys want to be on the show right now?

Natty Bumpercar: Do you want to be on the show this year? Or what do you, what should we do? I mean, I mean, it's, it's the Thanksgiving episode. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's always the Thanksgiving episode, like, you know, tomorrow and I apologize, everybody. Normally what happens is we do a couple of episodes before Thanksgiving with Turkey. So you can really get to know them. And it's, it's, it's a bigger thing, but this year it was, I couldn't find them to be honest. And so I went out and, you know what? Well, I'm not gonna tell you this story right now. Why don't we get everything set up? We're going to do the Bumper, Bumper Podcast right here. The Thanksgiving Bumper Podcast with, it's a jam packed show. We got pigs. It's, uh, Robot, can you look into this? Can you figure out what's wrong? I think something must be messed up, because obviously for the 200th episode, it's going to be something really big and exciting. Yeah, it's not going well. This is just from 197. Oh, no. It's a Thanksgiving, so it's a big episode, but it's not, this is not, you know, the 200th episode. We got two more to go before that, which I hope you guys are excited about. I know I am.

Doodle Poodle: I just wanted you to know that I'm just a dog who likes to draw, and I don't know, anything about episode numbers, or, or, anything, I don't know nothing about, I don't know anything about, nothing about anything at all, nothing about anything at all.

Aloysious J. Pig: Hey, listen, Doodlepoodle, you gotta stop what you're doing, what are you doing, Doodlepoodle? You're cracking under pressure. Not that there's any need for pressure, there's no pressure here, no pressure at all. It's a Thanksgiving episode, Robot's looking into the numbers, clearly something's a little bit screwy, wonky on that, and, uh, we're just gonna do a normal Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving podcast right now, buh-buh-podcast right now, everybody, of course.

Natty Bumpercar: Pig, you are always the voice of reason, I love that what you're, I mean, that makes sense. Alright, how should we start? We should just start the show. Because, I mean, I feel like we've been talking for a while now. Ladies and gentlemen, it's me, Natty Bumpercar, it's the Bumper Podcast, it's the Thanksgiving episode, and, wait, no, no, this isn't, guys, this is the 200th episode, what happened? What happened?

    Doodle Poodle: Run! Run!

    About This Episode

In episode 199 of Bumperpodcast, Aloysious J. Pig attempts to host alongside Robot and Doodle Poodle while Natty Bumpercar is mysteriously absent. The trio struggles with basic podcast hosting duties as Robot rambles about his soup consumption, Doodle Poodle insists on talking about art and drawing despite never actually drawing, and Pig grows increasingly exasperated with his co-hosts. The episode devolves into chaotic bickering about listener names ("bumper somethings"), whether mittens are an engaging topic, and concerns that Bumpercar may be frozen into an ice cube somewhere in the woods. This improvised episode showcases the puppets' comedic inability to run a show without their usual host.

    Memorable Quotes

    — Aloysious J. Pig

“Why would he put tears in the name of the people who listen to the show because they're so sad because they're listening to the show?”

    — Doodle Poodle

“Now you know it sounds terrible this show.”

Doodle Poodle: for a natty bumper car because i wanted to be on the bumper podcast no there's this guy

Aloysious J. Pig: i don't see him anywhere because i don't see him anywhere anywhere okay listen you doodle go to the corner you robot i don't know turn yourself off or something because as far as i can tell what everybody's been clamoring for anyways is uh is the pig show so we're gonna start calling this uh i think the pig pig pod pig a podcast pig a pig a pig the pig podcast big pig pod bag it's hard to say all right just stop just stop just stop

Aloysious J. Pig: uh robot you know what i apologize for trying to take over the whole name of the show what i do as a pig sometimes is i see an opportunity and i rush in i run in because you know what i'm gonna do i'm gonna rise to the top this pig always rises to the top It's because I float, mostly, because I've got a lot of fat. Let's be honest, people.

Robot: Okay, so this all of a sudden just became a self-help show about Pig and his, well, his Lord Jets. Let's be honest. You haven't stopped eating, I think, since you disappeared. But less about you, more about Daddy Bopper Car.

Doodle Poodle: Has anybody actually listened to any of the shows that he's been doing? Because, I mean, I don't subscribe on iTunes or listen to the Bopper Podcast every single day. All right. It happens because, I don't know, I, um…

Aloysious J. Pig: There's no reason for you to, you know, kiss up to Bopper Car, Doodle Poodle, because he's not here. It's you, a dog who likes to draw. Robot. Who's… You know, kind of just a robot. And me, I'm just a pig. You know, that's, I think, what we have, is we have some chemistry. Maybe, and this is just throwing out an idea here, I'm just going to spitball. I'm just going to blue sky an idea with you guys. Hey, what is it? We come up with our own show.

Robot: Oh, you mean a show where there's a pig, a robot, and a dog who likes to draw, and they talk, and we don't even need Bopper Car? And we don't even need the Bopper Podcast at all?

Doodle Poodle: That means we don't even need to worry about where Bopper Car is, and we don't need to worry about, you know, finding out where he went to and disappeared to, and, I don't know, the other shows and crazy stuff that he's been talking to himself for a long time, right?

Aloysious J. Pig: That's absolutely correct. And I think, you know, what we do is we start it off right now. We figure out what our show's going to be called. We figure out what our show's going to talk about. And we grab… We gather our audience, our presence, and, you know, right now, this is where we start the show, guys. Let's start off with a bang!

    About This Episode

In episode 197 of Bumperpodcast, host Natty Bumpercar records while battling a November cold, creating a delightfully rambling episode about post-Halloween recovery. Natty muses about the absurdity of greeting people in song, shares a hilarious story about accidentally leaving Donkey Kong sound effects playing during recording, and confesses to being "patient zero" while trick-or-treating with his kids. The episode takes unexpected turns discussing carbon consumption, failed attempts at making cheesy bread, and the horrors of using a new neti pot. With his signature stream-of-consciousness style amplified by congestion, Natty delivers a relatable and funny meditation on parenting, sickness, and surviving the holiday season.

    Memorable Quotes

“what i went as is patient zero…when i take your candy i'm also giving you the gift of congestion and uh stuffy noses”

    — Natty Bumpercar

“he looked at my eyes and he said you're not eating enough carbon and i said i am not sure that that's true”
